- Having emotions is seen as weakness
- Admitting weakness is seen as an even greater weakness
- Being called a sexual deviant or a pervert because you were expressing your sexuality
- A girl beating you in any physical competition makes you inferior
- Being superficial makes you a pig but a woman being superficial is fine
- Makeup isn't even an option
- Not living up to the insanely unrealistic ideal of manhood automatically makes you gay
- Being gay is seen as weak
- There's no getting around the size of your "manhood"
- You can't report sexual assaults because being a male victim is worse than being the rapist
- No male specific support groups or movements
- Women comparing incomparable experiences unique to both sexes
- Unequal parental rights
- Extreme feminists treating you less than human
- Women can blame all men or say they are all the same but if a man blames women they're sexist pigs
- People dismissing your problems automatically because the universe is obviously rigged in your favour in every scenario imaginable
- No one will read this past the title
- The problem with being female:
- Having emotions makes you a "crazy bitch" not expressing them makes you a "fucking ice bitch"
- Admitting weakness makes you a "whiny bitch"
- Being called a whore/slut/bitch, for being sexually active, being a prude/ice queen if you're not. And heaven forbid you're into kinky things.
- Not being allowed to compete head to head in most things with boys & beating a boy makes you a butch/dyke/lesbian/less of a "girl".
- Being superficial is expected but if you are you're "just another shallow bitch" but if you challenge men's opinions and think deep thoughts you're treated as crazy/weird because you're not obsessed with clothes/makeup/whatever, and heaven forbid you actually like BOTH.
- If you want a job in view of the public make-up is a must & you must always look flawless, and if you don't you're judged by men and even more by other women. And heaven forbid you look at all masculine or don't meet the standard of beauty of the person you're talking to, then you are automatically devalued because you're "ugly". This holds true even more if you're fat. Because everybody knows that fat people aren't actually human.
- Not being hyper-femme automatically makes you gay and gets you teased and bullied and excluded from doing things with other girls.
- Being gay is seen as being gross an unnatural. You are automatically assumed to be masculine, you're not allowed to be feminine and you're expected to keep your relationships hidden unless its on a screen for men to watch as porn.
- You can't control the size, color, look, depth or tightness of your vagina/vulva or anus (or if you have a vagina at all) but it's expected to be hairless, a nice pink color with a small labia, a visible but not too big clit, and a colorless or pink anus. And you are expected to be wet and tight always and your ass should be loose enough to be fucked without pain or going slow.
- If you report your rape you are automatically assumed to be at least partially at fault for it based on what you wore/where you were/who you were with/your state of inebriation/your sex life/your economic class/your race/ your conformation to the gender binary/being trans. If you get past all that you will then be suspected of making it up and you will be subjected to a hospital examination and rape kit being taken and your interview will most likely be carried out by a male cop who may or may not remind you of your attacker.
- There are women-specific movements (though they are often restricted to cis women) but if you participate or challenge the status quo in any way you're an "extreme feminist" or "feminazi".
- You're assumed by the courts to want the children and are seen as inhuman if you'd rather your husband take the kids, and may end up with them anyways.
- Being treated as a piece of meat every day on the streets. Told every day to avoid having violence perpetrated against you rather than having others be taught to not be violent in the first place. Having your rights to your body challenged every day. Having a 1 in 3 chance of being sexually assaulted. Making 66 cents on the dollar if you're lucky enough to be a cis white woman. Etc.
- Not being able to speak out without having every aspect of you called in as defects in character: appearance, sex life, economic status, race, age, taste in music, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, and your opinions and words can be completely invalidated by any of them.

You know what would be a really cool alarm clock, If it were Nick Fury from the Avengers, so when it went off it said “Wake up MOTHER FUCKER!!!” and when you pressed snooze it went “I acknowledge that you’ve made the decision to snooze, but given that it’s a stupid ass decision i’ve elected to ignore it” and just kept beeping.

These people are horrendous excuses for a waste of space. If I had the capacity to believe in eugenics these people would be the first to go. But I don’t so I’m stuck here wanting to cry wondering how awful of a person you have to be to tell a little she’s unlike able unless she’s girly and wears a dress. That’s just fucked up….

Baby quilts are friggen awesome. I thought I was buying myself a people-sized one at target but it turned out it was a baby quilt. Humph. Anywho it’s actually perfect because it fits over most of my body and is big enough to curl most of me up under but if I want to I can stick my feet out to cool myself down! It’s awesome!

I went to the mall, and a little girl called me a terrorist.
My name is Ela. I am seventeen years old. I am not Muslim, but my friend told me about her friend being discriminated against for wearing a hijab. So I decided to see the discrimination firsthand to get a better understanding of what Muslim women go through.
My friend and I pinned scarves around our heads, and then we went to the mall. Normally, vendors try to get us to buy things and ask us to sample a snack. Clerks usually ask us if we need help, tell us about sales, and smile at us. Not today. People, including vendors, clerks, and other shoppers, wouldn’t look at us. They didn’t talk to us. They acted like we didn’t exist. They didn’t want to be caught staring at us, so they didn’t look at all.
And then, in one store, a girl (who looked about four years old) asked her mom if my friend and I were terrorists. She wasn’t trying to be mean or anything. I don’t even think she could have grasped the idea of prejudice. However, her mother’s response is one I can never forgive or forget. The mother hushed her child, glared at me, and then took her daughter by the hand and led her out of the store.
All that because I put a scarf on my head. Just like that, a mother taught her little girl that being Muslim was evil. It didn’t matter that I was a nice person. All that mattered was that I looked different. That little girl may grow up and teach her children the same thing.
This experiment gave me a huge wakeup call. It lasted for only a few hours, so I can’t even begin to imagine how much prejudice Muslim girls go through every day. It reminded me of something that many people know but rarely remember: the women in hijabs are people, just like all those women out there who aren’t Muslim.
People of Tumblr, please help me spread this message. Treat Muslims, Jews, Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, Pagans, Taoists, etc., exactly the way you want to be treated, regardless of what they’re wearing or not wearing, no exceptions. Reblog this. Tell your friends. I don’t know that the world will ever totally wipe out prejudice, but we can try, one blog at a time.

If France legalizes marriage equality, as it may soon do, it will also ban the words “mother” and “father” from official documents and marriage ceremonies.
The law would give equal adoption rights to gay and straight couples and replace all references to “mothers and fathers” to simply “parents.”
Justice Minister Christiane Taubira told France’s Catholic newspaper La Croix: “Who is to say that a heterosexual couple will bring a child up better than a homosexual couple, that they will guarantee the best conditions for the child’s development?”
Woot! That’s the spirit.
